Fixed Wing UAS

Duration

A fixed wing airframe is unparalleled when it comes to duration and speed.  Because the wing is doing the lifting the motor is only required to provide enough thrust to counteract drag at your desired speed.  This allows durations for small electric powered airframes to exceed 60 minutes.

Coverage

Testing has shown that for a given battery size a fixed-wing aircraft can cover up to 10 times the survey area versus a multi-rotor platform.  This makes them ideal for gathering the data to stitch together geo-referenced crop and survey images.  The actual performance depends on many variables.  Contact us today for a consultation.

Imaging Options

A full array of imaging options is available for the fixed-wing airframe.  Still photo resolutions range from 12-20+ megapixels depending on hardware.  The airframe can handle IR and NIR sensors to crease false color indexed images like NDVI.  These cameras also have HD video capability and a gyro-stabilized gimbal is in development.
